What makes shoe polish work .....it leaves my shoes so shiney?

Leather is a porous surface. The wax in your shoe polish actually fills in those pores to give it a complete texture. As you keep on shining more smaller pores are filled giving your shoe the much needed shine and body.

Hope my answer helps.

Thanks.

Its the dye and wax. Thanks for the reminder, I need to get busy and give my shoes and boots a new look.

I also like to support those who still make their living shining shoes.

In my travels to Mexico, sometimes I have my shoes shined twice a week.
