Help! My black %26#039;sensible%26#039; shoes are scuffed at the toe, I%26#039;m going out tonight, I don%26#039;t know any appropriate shops around here, and I need them to look respectable, at least at a distance. I tried black marker pen but it didn%26#039;t stick.
How to polish black shoes when out of shoe polish?
Hmmm, was it a black sharpie? Try heating the spot with a blow dryer, then the marker, then dry, then use a bit of vaseline or baby oil if shoes are already shiny. This will help the dullness of the marker to %26quot;shine!%26quot;
Or maybe some craft paint!

Reply:Vaseline or petroleum jelly, put on with fingertip then buff off.
Reply:buff out the scuff, a little elbow grease can go a long way.
