How can I get shoe polish off my suede shoes?

The polish is black, and the shoes are brown and kinda expensive, so HELP, guys!

How can I get shoe polish off my suede shoes?
My first response would be to tell you to go to your local shoe repair shop to have it done.

But if you want to try it yourself, here is the process I have used:

(1). Rub suede gently with a bath towel to restore some of its nap.

(2), Remove dry stains and marks from suede by gently rubbing a pencil eraser on the affected area. Some stores sell a suede cleaning kit containing a white eraser and a nylon suede brush. For wet stains lay a paper towel on top of stain to absorb most of the liquid. Do not apply any kind of stain remover or other products, especially if you want to have it professionally cleaned. This can interfere with the cleaning process.

(3). Brush with a suede brush.

(4). Apply a small amount of white vinegar to a lightly dampened cloth as a last resort for cleaning suede shoes. Note that suede shoes treated with white vinegar may have a mild odor after cleaning.

(5). Gently rub the surface of the shoe with the cloth, then allow it to air dry.

You can try a product similar to the above, but I really do think you%26#039;re not going to be successful...anything that can take the polish off your shoes, will also ruin the suede itself.

Your best bet is to chalk this up to a learning experience, and buy yourself a new pair of shoes.
