I spilt some nail polish remover on my black leather shoe?
uh thats not nessicarly a quetion but i suggest u get a new pair, do u still have the recipt if u do,RETURN IT! And unless its a big spot dont worry people wont notice cauze i dont think they focus on shoes and that jazz.plus if u cant get the exact same kind get some that look just like it or just forget about the black leather shoes and move on!
Reply:Take your shoes to a good shoe repair shop. Check the yellow pages. They may be able to put a finish on the spot. As a last resort, how about those pens that are used to fill in the scratches on furniture? Maybe you could apply a black one and buff it to a shine.
Reply:Unfortunately you may be stuck.

Nail polish remover is acetone. Acetone dissolves protein and leather is mainly protein.

Your best bet is to paint the spot with a black enamal paint if the shoes are that valuable to you.

Next time you know to keep the nail polish remover away from anything made of protein - including your own skin. Acetone is not a nice chemical.
Reply:You have removed the finish on your leather and this is what needs replacing. You can get hi-gloss finishes for leather which should solve the problem
Reply:try clear coat paint
Reply:since you hav tryed everything else it can%26#039;t hurt to give this a try. cover the dull spot 4 0r 5 times with a permanent marker then try polish or that shoe shine spong that is out now don%26#039;t know if it will work but can%26#039;t hurt.
Reply:get some black leather dye. you can get it where shoe polish is sold. it comes in a bottle with an applicator. it should help a lot.
Reply:Check with a furniture store that sells leather. They often have products for removing spots from leather sofas that may work on your shoes.
