Have you ever heard of shoe polishing machines?

Can it be a wise choice to invest in developing countries?how much does it cost to buy one?

Have you ever heard of shoe polishing machines?
Make sure they wear shoes in developing countries. (not a joke - do your market research carefully)

yes-there are such machines. They run on electricity. (that's something else you'll want to find out about.)
Reply:No, they have people to do that in developing countries and they cost a couple pennies a day.
Reply:It hardly costs anything to use one's hands.
Reply:those machines time has come and gone in my many travels I really haven't seen too many of them (only in the total ritzy areas)

and really not worth investing in.
Reply:It all depends on if they wear shoes.
Reply:I am old enough to remember when they came out in the US. It was kind of like the Segway. It got a lot of publicity when it first showed up on the market. However, nobody I knew ever bought one. It was about as much effort to get the damn thing out and set it up as it was to shine your shoes the old way. As far as developing countries. I can't see a mechanical device being a seller. Most people in developing countries are in the market for two things. Products that help with their real problems or products that mimic the first world. A shoe polishing machine is neither.
Reply:Yes, they are small appliances that have been around for awhile. I would not invest in such a venture. Not many people buy them here and I doubt that many in developing countries would be at all interested. Google it to see prices.
