I know they have black and brown shoe polish, but do they have white? What colors do they have of shoe polish?

yes. they do have white: i know that for a fact. and i saw pink at some store i went into, so most colors are available when you really look

I know they have black and brown shoe polish, but do they have white? What colors do they have of shoe polish?
pretty much any color you can think of you can get in shoe polish but most store carry the black brown and white .but kiwi carry most colors .
Reply:Yah they do have every color pretty much.

Thank God 4 tha white!!!! Thats for sure....
Reply:Yes, white shoe polish exists. Kiwi makes several color polishes. Check out the link and select the menu...
Reply:White creams should be easy to find, paste is a bit of a bugger, my best recommendation is to check a military supply store that specializes in Navy gear. Officers and Chiefs have to have polished white shoes for their summer whites. Look carefully, it%26#039;s a pain to find. :)
Reply:i don%26#039;t actually know much about shoe polish because i don%26#039;t use it. If you are cleaning white sneakers gym shoes stuff like that a nail brush and some shaving cream is very effective and inexpensive. but if there is fabric...i mean actual fabric not the plactic type suff...of a different color, dont get the shaving cream on it, becuase it will effect the color.

Shaving cream also works to prevent the fogging of the bathroom mirror after a shower. random fact but if you wash the mirrors with shaving cream then they fog less eaisily
Reply:Yes, there is white shoe polish. Black, brown, white and tan(I think that is the colour)
Reply:They make every color under the sun.
Reply:there is red, white, black, brown maroon, gray, orange, and pretty much every color available.
Reply:Go to an expensive shoe store, they have bigger selection than CVS.

I found mauve.

Has anyone ever used KIWI shoe polish on leather furniture.?

I use it on my shoes it doesn%26#039;t rub off, it does a great job......... don%26#039;t understand why I can use it on my leather sofa..... it needs something.

Has anyone ever used KIWI shoe polish on leather furniture.?
its for leather and i have used kiwi since i joined the army in 1972 you can use it on your furniture just get the neutral color
Reply:yes but it is messy...use Murphys oil soap
Reply:Don%26#039;t do it. It will rub off. I have never put it on furniture, but on my more expensive shoes that are very soft leather it will rub off.
Reply:Well moonman--try this--take your shoes (freshly polished) and rub a pair of your best lighter colored slacks over them a couple ot times and then tell me that residue does not rub off------if you%26#039;re ready to spend tons of money replacing the clothing that your friends are going to ruin--break that KIWI out and get to polishing
Reply:take two parts vinegar and one part olive oil and rub your furniture down with this, it will clean and brighten the leather. Shoe polish will come off on clothing.
Reply:shoe polish is waxed base and will come off on peoples clothes. if the leather is scuffed or discolored a leather die is what you need

Does white shoe polish have lye in it?
Some do and some don%26#039;t. It should say on the container it is in whether it does or not. If not, the best answer for you is to contact the manufacturer and ask them. If they don%26#039;t have a phone number on the container, then search them online and go to their website and look for contact information. Hope this helps!!!!

Esquire magazine claims "Brown shoe polish is for suckers". Black works on brown shoes. Is this true?

It depends on the black shoe polish. I use Lincoln Stain polish, and it very definately won%26#039;t work for brown shoes. If you are using a sealant or a non-coloring polish, then yes, you may be able to use black on a brown shoe. Otherwise, your brown shoes will end up getting darker. Possibly much darker, maybe even black...

Has anyone ever used KIWI shoe polish on leather furniture?

I use it on my shoes it doesn%26#039;t rub off, it does a great job......... don%26#039;t understand why I can use it on my leather sofa..... it needs something

Has anyone ever used KIWI shoe polish on leather furniture?
I think kiwi shoe polish is a good quality brand, if you want to use it on your sofa, go ahead, I do. The idea of the color rubbing off is silly because if you sit on any leather sofa and slide around on it, color will rub off. That is why people with white jeans don%26#039;t sit on dark leather sofas and slide all over it. Also is reverse, a white sofa will attract color from even the most washed out jeans. The waxes in the polish are good for your sofa so rub and polish away! And when your done, curl up and take a nap on it. :)
Reply:You have to think WHY your leather sofa needs color on it. It%26#039;s probably because the color rubbed off from using it.

If you use KIWI polish on the sofa, it is going to rub off onto your clothes! You might not notice that the polish comes off of your shoes, because you%26#039;re not sitting on them all the time (at least I hope you%26#039;re not) :-)
Reply:SHOE POLISH IS FOR SHOES !!!

It has waxes and color in it and should NEVER touch your leather furniture. Get lexol or No Bull leather cleaner. Or any other leather cleaner and conditioner made for leather. You can find some great product links on the right of these pages herehttp://www.mobileleatherservice.com/Leat...

Or get this stuff off ebay....

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...

But again.. Do not use shoe polish or any of the other non proferssional suggestions you find all over the internet.
Reply:I think you will be better off using something made for your purpose. Something like Meguiars that is sold for leather seating in cars. Also it won%26#039;t discolor your clothing as the previous answerer mentioned re the shoe polish.

You can use an old washcloth or an old sock or cotton balls (that%26#039;s what we used when I was in the Army).

Just make sure it%26#039;s a cloth you won%26#039;t need later on ;)

Reply:noooooooooooo

spend money and get a good one!
Reply:Dollar store products can be a great value. I%26#039;d try a little on a pair of shoes that I don%26#039;t care about. How badly can shoe polish fail? I%26#039;m thinking the worst that could happen, is that you will have to polish them again, with a better quality polish.

My big concern would be the smell. If it doesn%26#039;t go away within a few minutes after polishing, I%26#039;d toss the stuff out! If it REALLY smells awful, I wouldn%26#039;t put it on at all . Then I%26#039;d either return it to the store, or call them and tell them about your concerns. Seems they would want to know that they have a bad product on the shelf.

Reply:I think it is due to the secret ingredient.
Reply:This is a disorder known as PICA. If you really do eat shoe polish you seriously should consider going to see you family doctor.

People with pica frequently crave and consume nonfood items such as:

dirt

clay

paint chips

plaster

chalk

cornstarch

laundry starch

baking soda

coffee grounds

cigarette ashes

burnt match heads

cigarette butts

feces

ice

glue

hair

buttons

paper

sand

toothpaste

soap

Although consumption of some items may be harmless, pica is considered to be a serious eating disorder that can sometimes result in serious health problems such as lead poisoning and iron-deficiency anemia.

What is shoe polish made from and why does some shine more than others like Parade Gloss?

The shine is not everything, the shoe polish must protect the leather from water also. The best brand for me is Erdal, a german shoe polish. The best what I used was silicon grease, so maybe that is the ingredient for Parade Gloss.

I spilled Shoe Polish on floor tiles anyone know how to remove it?

It was KIWI Honor Guard Edge Dressing and I Tried 409 but it only lifted a little of the stain and its black if anyone know what type of chemical to use please please let me know thank you

I spilled Shoe Polish on floor tiles anyone know how to remove it?
Use bleach. It wont harm the tiles and will brighent your grout. I promise it will work
Reply:take vinegar and a scrub brush
Reply:alcoohol and cotton that should do it

but try to keep the stain as small as it is dont spread it
Reply:my mom always told me to use applecider vinegar when something like that happened. now that is just what I was told. never tried it firsthand. hell, if it works- let e know : )
Reply:I would suggest hydrogen peroxide. My husband uses it on his nursing scrubs I would think it would be worth the try. If it was me I would put the peroxide on a rag then wipe the tile. If that does not work WD40 might do the job. I clean houses %26amp; offices I use Wd40 on stubborn stains. Like ink I would think it would do the job on shoe polish.

What makes shoe polish work .....it leaves my shoes so shiney?

Leather is a porous surface. The wax in your shoe polish actually fills in those pores to give it a complete texture. As you keep on shining more smaller pores are filled giving your shoe the much needed shine and body.

Hope my answer helps.

Thanks.

Its the dye and wax. Thanks for the reminder, I need to get busy and give my shoes and boots a new look.

Shoe Polish darkens your hair color. True or False?

Also, does baking soda remove some highlights in hair? Some rumors in Hair Dye I would like to get clean.

Shoe Polish darkens your hair color. True or False?
Ok for the record, the only way you can get rid of hilites is to deposit color over them, hilites are hair with less pigment, so they won%26#039;t fade cuz there isn%26#039;t anything to fade. And as for shoe polish, I just don%26#039;t understand how this could even come up as a thing you would put in your hair, oh well probably the same way koolade did!

Which shoe polish is good for shoe life? wax or silicon?

easy shine or polish shine - after three years my sho shines as new !! tell me the correct answer,?

Which shoe polish is good for shoe life? wax or silicon?
Silicon gets into the leather, wax waterproofs from the surface. In cold climates the silicones and greases will keep the leather alive longer, but in warmer climates wax works as well and keeps water from wetting the leather by plugging it and sealing it.

Slilcones and Dubbin never shine and they attract dust, only wax gives the shine.
Reply:wax
Reply:I would say both.

Use the silicone for the first time, before ths shoes are worn and the pores are open. It waterproofs.

After dry, add the wax shine and use that periodically to maintain a shine.

If not dried, and the carpet is white, bleach and blot.

But you have posted it here so it is probably dried. Go to a Carpet store, or a place like Lowe%26#039;s or Home Depot and try to find a match. Cut the Shoe polished piece out and replace with a new piece. If it is in the middle of the room, use carpet tape to adhere it to the new carpet.

(1). Rub suede gently with a bath towel to restore some of its nap.

(2), Remove dry stains and marks from suede by gently rubbing a pencil eraser on the affected area. Some stores sell a suede cleaning kit containing a white eraser and a nylon suede brush. For wet stains lay a paper towel on top of stain to absorb most of the liquid. Do not apply any kind of stain remover or other products, especially if you want to have it professionally cleaned. This can interfere with the cleaning process.

(3). Brush with a suede brush.

(4). Apply a small amount of white vinegar to a lightly dampened cloth as a last resort for cleaning suede shoes. Note that suede shoes treated with white vinegar may have a mild odor after cleaning.

(5). Gently rub the surface of the shoe with the cloth, then allow it to air dry.
Reply:Wow! And whose mistake was this?

You can try a product similar to the above, but I really do think you%26#039;re not going to be successful...anything that can take the polish off your shoes, will also ruin the suede itself.

Your best bet is to chalk this up to a learning experience, and buy yourself a new pair of shoes.

Do my shoes need shoe polish?

Homemade shoe polish?

I need to polish my black leather shoes for a party tonight but am unable to get to the store. Are there any easy home recipes for polish? Would a light dab of olive oil on a cloth and then buffing it with another cloth work, or would that be too messy/ineffective?

Homemade shoe polish?
Here are some options for you:

%26quot;Things you will need

Soft cloth or rag

olive oil

Either apply olive oil to your leather or to your cloth and rub to a shine. This is a simple, easy and natural way of making a shoe polish. Try on a small area before doing the whole thing. This way you will see the end results, without doing the whole shoe.%26quot; Source:

%26quot;Shoe Polish

Cold Pressed Nut Oil, Olive Oil, Walnut Oil, or Beeswax. Apply oil to leather product and buff with a chamois loth to a shine.

Lemon Juice. Lemon juice is good polish for black or tan leather shoes. Follow by buffing with a soft cloth.

Vinegar. Remove water stains on leather by rubbing with a cloth dipped in a vinegar and water solution.

Petroleum Jelly. A dab of petroleum jelly rubbed into patent leather gives a glistening shine and prevents cracking in the winter.

Vinegar. To shine patent leather, moisten a soft cloth with white vinegar and wipe clean all patent leather articles. The color of the leather may be slightly changed.

Art-Gum Eraser and Sandpaper or Emery Board. Dirt marks on suede can be rubbed out with an art-gum eraser. Then buff lightly with sandpaper or an emery board. %26quot; Source:

Reply:Do not use olive oil or any other cooking oil. They are for eating not polishing. They will become rancid. Car wax, parrafin wax ( candles ) beeswax. All good. Parrafin would be my choice. In fact it is what I put on my boots when I buy them.

Can you "dye" a car interior by rubbing back shoe polish on it? I heard this once but IDK if it's true or not.

Yeah, you could do it, but you would also dye all your clothes when you sit on the seats and the polish wipes off.

You should look for a different approach.
Reply:you can have it dyed professionally but the shoe polish thing will be a mess you dont want .
Reply:Riding in your car on a hot day, the toxic fumes would probably kill you.
Reply:Shoe polish will come off the sale dye in a spray can that works for carpet or vinyl at any pep-boys or auto zone
Reply:Are you talking about the headliner or the dash and all the plastic parts? I think that what ever you try to dye, it would take a lot and smell like a shoe afterwards. You can buy cloth dye for the headliner, and just use a plastics paint for the rest.

How do you make leather shine? can I use brown shoe polish on a belt and purse to restore shine?

I have a brown leather belt and a purse with brown leather straps that I want to clean and shine. Should I use Brown shoe polish? It says gloss on the shoe polish...

How do you make leather shine? can I use brown shoe polish on a belt and purse to restore shine?
It would be better if you used a clear polish. The colored shoe polish will rub off on your clothes. It will be impossible to get that stain out of your clothes because of the wax in the shoe polish. You can go to a shoe repair shop and get them dyed instead then you won%26#039;t have to worry about your clothes.
Reply:household polish like pledge brings all things leather or leatherette up a treat. rubbing with orange rind also brings leather up nicely.
Reply:You will end up with transfer of the shoe polish if the belt rubs against something- like your car seat or sofa backrest.

Please avoid household polishes- you will end up witha residue on the leather the is detrimental to the leather.

Many good quality leather conditioners will impart some sort of luster- rubbing quickly with a soft cloth; burnishing to some extent can bring up a degree of sheen, but the only way to really gloss up is to apply a quality flexible leather clear coat.

I have a script for a %26quot;Shoe polish company%26quot; for product%26#039;s advertisement , if it would buy it from me?
Hey dude , you have to speak to the advertising agencies, the might pay some bucks for this.
Reply:Who want to advertise shoes in Poland?
Reply:Okay so you are ready to enter the mass media of business corporation executives eh!

This is what you can do.

First off, Make sure you have a nice good suit and tie ready and available to use.

Second, take your idea and have it placed on presentation boards normally about 26%26quot; by 26%26quot; with a full presentation.

If you must use cartoon figures to illustrate then do so. You have to sell your idea. Keep that in mind.

Third. Make sure you have an attorney available to do contracts if they choose your idea they will ask for him.

Fourth,. When you approach the company for the first time by phone you need to set up an appointment to meet with the director of advertising

This may take several weeks to accomplish and they will not return your calls if you are not substantiated in a business firm.

Fifth, you will have to establish this firm so what will you call your firm???????????

R%26amp;J Advertisers?

Smith and Neil Promotions?

They will ask you about your firm. Get one. Get a business phone with a Commerical access.

When you get the call their secretary will give you an appointment date and time. Be prepared to fly it may be in Chicago or New York.

When you hop a flight to do busniess you come back a winner not a loser.

Sale that product and be prepared to answer any questions these executives have even if you must lie, you best be good at it or you flunk.

I met with several big wigs from Bud Light Commerical Advertising....the result was favorable. I made some money.

How can i clean my black leather prada shoes without using shoe polish?

i have black prada shoes i dont want to use shoe polish because it will ruin the shoe are there any alternatives

How can i clean my black leather prada shoes without using shoe polish?
If you dont want to use shoe polish because the leather is naked, then anything you put on it has a chance of distorting the color. You might try a soft white cloth dampened, with a hair dryer beside you- wipe the dirty area and then dry immediately.
Reply:To best answer to that question would come from the seller of your shoes, but it also depends upon the material. If it%26#039;s leather, then a soft cotton cloth should get most little marks off.

I spilt some nail polish remover on my black leather shoe?
uh thats not nessicarly a quetion but i suggest u get a new pair, do u still have the recipt if u do,RETURN IT! And unless its a big spot dont worry people wont notice cauze i dont think they focus on shoes and that jazz.plus if u cant get the exact same kind get some that look just like it or just forget about the black leather shoes and move on!
Reply:Take your shoes to a good shoe repair shop. Check the yellow pages. They may be able to put a finish on the spot. As a last resort, how about those pens that are used to fill in the scratches on furniture? Maybe you could apply a black one and buff it to a shine.
Reply:Unfortunately you may be stuck.

Nail polish remover is acetone. Acetone dissolves protein and leather is mainly protein.

Your best bet is to paint the spot with a black enamal paint if the shoes are that valuable to you.

Next time you know to keep the nail polish remover away from anything made of protein - including your own skin. Acetone is not a nice chemical.

How to open kiwi shoe polish?
Very carefully with a butter knife or flat head screw driver. Don%26#039;t try and pry up one side all at once. Do a little at time working your way around the rim, this sometime needs a couple of rounds before it comes off. And if possible wear some kind of plastic glove. Remove shoe polish from car paint?

i have little specs of shoe polish stuck to my cars paint and the only way to get them off i know of is scratching them off witch would take hours i didnt know if anyone would know of any chemical stuff to get it off that wont hurt my paint thanks in advance

Remove shoe polish from car paint?
either try a product called clay magic available at parts stores

it%26#039;s just a bar of clay that you use to go over the car with soapy water and it removes minor imperfectins and such or you can try washing the car with a general degreaser such as formula 88 or purple stuff if you use this stuff you will have to wax your car after cuz it%26#039;s gonna strip all the wax off your car,it%26#039;s also a good idea if you use the clay.

DO NOT SCRATCH IT OFF!!!
Reply:I used a hair dryer to heat up some pine tar that stuck to my car, then used a dry paper towel to blot away. after you get it all off, wash it real good and have a heavy coat of wax put on, i did and you couldn%26#039;t even see where the tar was. just use caution, if the paint does come up, they make paint sticks that match the colors of your make and model of your car. then another alternative is, and only if you don%26#039;t mind the paint lightening up is this great stuff called GOOF-OFF. serious stuff, be careful with this stuff, you can buy it at home depot. works great, just don%26#039;t go overboard with it, cause it will do some damage, Ive seen it make a hole in sheet rock when left for a few days, so don%26#039;t let it sit too long.
Reply:I have also used the clay to remove over-spray from the surface of the vehicle and it works great. If you cant get it at your local auto parts store then ask your local body shop if they will sell you some of it and remember that you can reuse it over and over again.

What does Black Shoe Polish Do?

My black leather shoes are %26quot;broken%26quot; or the leather is coming off and I see gray!!! Will black shoe polish fix this? I only wore the shoes two times =((.

What does Black Shoe Polish Do?
The broken areas are where the finish of the shoe is coming off. The leather finish on some shoes is not good, but it is not a fatal flaw for the shoes.

I would suggest you take the shoes to the shoe repair shop and ask that they have black shoe dye applied to the %26quot;broken%26quot; areas.

If you want to do the job yourself, Fiebings leather dye will do a good job for you. A bottle will probably cost you $8.00. I used Fiebings leather dye when I was in the Army. Crawling through sandy soil in South Carolina used to really tear up the finish on combat boots. With Fiebings, I applied the dye, let it dry, and put on 4 or 5 coats of regular Kiwi shoe polish.

Note that when the finish came off my wife%26#039;s character (dance shoes) we used Meltonian Spray dye. Magix spray dye is also good. Cost would be about $14.00.
Reply:It just temporarily covers a defect so it won%26#039;t be noticable to other people. Over time it will peel off and black shoe polish can no longer cover that area which is damaged.
Reply:I think the shoes are not of good quality and also it works with the Shoe polishes... (depending on the condition of your shoe)
Reply:It won%26#039;t fix it. It will camouflage it.

Black shoe polish is a combination of black dye and wax with a solvent.

It also helps water-proof the shoe. Water leeches out natural moisture from the leather so it cracks.

You may%26#039;ve only worn the shoes two times, but the leather may%26#039;ve been old and dry already.

How can shoe polish be manufactured?

shoe polish is very essential in shining shoes of various type, what are the step needed to produce and some literature review on its production

How can shoe polish be manufactured?
Shoe polish can be manufactured using large vats, reasonably powerful heaters and air conditioners. There is no set method of manufacture, although most methods use pressures of two atmospheres to ensure the naphtha does not boil off, and temperatures of up to 85 °C. [19]

The first step in the manufacture of a typical shoe polish is the melting of the wax with the highest melting point in an electric heater. Following this, all other waxes are added, usually by descending order of melting point. Whilst this wax is held at a constant temperature, the emulsion — a mixture of the various oils and, if being used, fats, is then heated separately, at around 85 °C. The heated emulsion is then added to the waxes, along with distilled water. When the mixture reaches around 80 °C, turpentine oil is added. This mixture is then mixed and continually stirred for half an hour. Dyes are added and mixed in turpentine oil if it is not a neutral polish. The mixed mass is reduced slowly to 50 °C, and as its viscosity increases, it is poured through a closed funnel into a cooling chamber. The poured mass is allowed to settle slowly, providing uniform distribution. The process is considered straightforward and the required equipment is relatively easy to acquire. The cost of establishing shoe polish manufacturing facilities has been estimated at around $600,000 (as of 2005). [2]

Shoe polish is traditionally packaged in flat, round, 60-gram (2-ounce) tins, usually with an easy-open facility. Because the amount of shoe polish that needs to be applied is small, and the shoe polish will desiccate due to volatile ingredients, such as naphtha, a large container would dry out before being fully used. The traditional flat, round tins have since become synonymous with shoe polishes.

What happens if you put colour-renovating shoe polish on suede shoes?

Has anyone out there ever tried??... I don%26#039;t mind if the suede texture goes completeley flat... (it%26#039;s sort of flat now).

What happens if you put colour-renovating shoe polish on suede shoes?
For many years I have used a product called Magix shoe spray. It is a shoe dye and we have used to it die everything from vinyl bits for costumes to shoes to match. It seems to work fine on suede. Go to a shoe repair shop and ask for it. There are a few other sprays that are made by other manufacturers but since everywhere I have been has had Magix I have not tried the others. They will try to sell you a %26#039;prep product%26#039; but all you need is some cheap acetone nail polish remover as a prep. Some of the nail polish removers don%26#039;t have that chemical in it anymore so make sure you check. Clean them off with the stuff first as it sounds like that patch of lighter colour will show if you don%26#039;t try to even out the shoe colour first.

As for the %26#039;polish%26#039;. I don%26#039;t think it will cover the patch and it will surly be uneven as well as run the risk of the same thing happening again. Polish doesn%26#039;t %26#039;bite%26#039; like the shoe dyes do.

Good luck

Try to find a spray type dye. Use a paper and cut it to match the spot. Then spray the area to be dyed. When it is completely dry, brush it with the suede brush.

If it not a spray, then lightly dab the area with the dye. Or have you considered taking the shoes to a shoe repair shop?

Some western wear shops have shoe repair people available or a saddle shop might have more ability to find the right dye for your shoes.
Reply:You can dye the suede shoes with leather dye available from some craft stores. They use it on making leather belts etc.

If you use a dye it will soak in and redye the suede. If you use a renovating polish it will sit on the srface. As suede is an open surface the polish may not sit very well on the surface.

There are suede dyes available but fuschia pink will be a hard one to match. it may be advisable to change to brown or black with a dye as the colour change would be more even.

To properly clean suede you need a nubuck cloth. A brush only breaks up the surface pile and does not do any cleaning.

(havin just cleaned an expensive nubuck chair in pale green this has been thoroughly tested)

What will get shoe polish out of carpet?

Major liquid shoe polish explosion - one pair of jeans are history but what do I do about black shoe polish on light gray carpet?

What will get shoe polish out of carpet?
By using white spirits, put some on an old rag then work your way inwards of the stain so you don´t spread the stain further. Once your happy the stain has lifted then sponge with a little of your own hair shampoo this works just as well on carpet´s and other fabrics. then with remove the suds with cold water sponge. When you are sure all the suds have been removed lay a towel and a heavy object on the wet stain this will help to dry off any remaining water from the underside f the carpet. leave like this over night and leave to dry with natural air. You might find you will have to sponge the area again at some stage as sooner or later the water mark always reaches the surface , hope this helps you
Reply:RESOLVE CARPET CLEANER

I cant offer a guarantee, but you can try.

Mix one cup of water with 2-3 tablespoons of OxyClean. Spray, or work into the surface, and use a stiff bristled brush, scrub scrub scrub. Afterwards, if you want, you can try using a carpet shampooer. But I know how liquid shoe polish can easily screw things up, I was in the Marines and that stuff is hard to get out. But, its better to try.

Best of luck....

What kind of shoe polish do you use for patent leather shoes?

is there a special polish or will normal black shoe polish do the job?

What kind of shoe polish do you use for patent leather shoes?
nope you can%26#039;t get a polish that why i stopped buying them ,oh if they just dirty just rub with a clean cloth or baby wipes are good .
Reply:Vaseline is marvelous for patent shoes..It is so greasy it keeps the shoes soft and crack free....smear some on and leave overnight then rub off with a soft cloth...You can buy Vaseline in England but if you are from the States or somewhere else I wouldn%26#039;t know if you can purchase it elsewhere...
Reply:There are only two simple steps to care for patent leather: cleaning and shining.

Cleaning is easily done with a mild soap and a wet cloth or ideally using AQUILA (Urad%26#039;s gentle leather cleaner).

Some advantages of using AQUILA are to prevent the side effects of chlorine and minerals contained in water and to dissolve any dirt or grease accumulations. This should be done after each use; otherwise this dirt starts attacking the varnish, eventually reducing its shiny finish. At the very least dust should be removed with a dry, but very soft cloth (chamois or shoe shine cloth).

Cleaning the leather as above will go a long way in keeping your patent leather shiny. But applying VERNICE will go the extra mile! This will give it the “red carpet” glow!

VERNICE (pronounced VERNI-TCHEI) can be applied with a soft cloth. Spray and spread the VERNICE evenly and leave to dry. It dries in only a few seconds and there%26#039;s no need for buffing.

VERNICE is liquid silicon that protects and shines. Another benefit, especially for dance shoes, it lubricates leather and helps prevent scuffs marks and scratches. It will not stay greasy so it can also be used on purses, belts etc..

Do not use grease or Vaseline!!
Reply:the traditional sort that comes in a little tin that you rub on with a cloth and, er, polish to a shine. The elbow-grease kind, in other words.
Reply:you dont the wax will dull the shine, a wipe with a damp cloth or a duster and a squirt of pledge will do fine if they are really mucky.
Reply:gloss paint-as there is no polish for patent shoes.
Reply:um, i dont htink you need polish. just wipe them with a kleenex because they are smooth and shiny already.
Reply:Mr. Sheen or any other general purpose spray polish will do the trick and use a soft duster or old T-shirt to polish them with and buff them up to the high shine you require.
Reply:patent shoes dont have polishes, they cannot be polished over. Your best bet is a gloss nail varnish, this is what I use.
Reply:Vaseline work%26#039;s just put on then rub off protect%26#039;s too.

Does white shoe polish work on tennis shoes?

Does white shoe polish work on tennis shoes? where do i get it and for how much

Does white shoe polish work on tennis shoes?
go to walgreens and they have this stuff that kinda looks like a bingo blotter and its like 5 bucks, they have different colors too, its for shoes dont use nail polish its tacky and if anyone out there is like me, they will notice fast

good luck
Reply:Yes it does. It will work better if the tennis shoes are clean and you just need to cover scuff marks. If you can, throw your tennies in the washing machine to get all of the dirt off (brush them off first if there%26#039;s a lot of dirt.) You can either put them in the clothes dryer or let them dry naturally (wad up some newspaper and stuff it inside them if you%26#039;re drying them naturally. This will help absorb some of the moisture and help them maintain their shape.)

You can buy shoe polish at any drug store or grocery store. I use the bottle with the sponge applicator attached to the top. Simply follow the directions on the bottle. One bottle will last a long time as long as you put the cap back on and close it tightly.
Reply:Yes it will.If you have A Shoe Carnivle there,go there to get the polish. Its in a bottle, and I believe it costs $5.95 for a large bottle.
Reply:I use clorox spray bleach. I know that sounds super silly but it works.
Reply:White liquid shoe polish works well on leather tennis shoes. It is a little difficult to get a detailed coating without making the shoes look spray painted, but possible. Try it. It is sold at most any store like Wal-mart or Target. It is not exensive at all - likely under 4 dollars.
Reply:i dont know about show polish but if you go to a finish line store, you can get a bottle of shoe cleaner stuff for about 8 or 9 bucks
Reply:I have some white Adidas with the three stripes on the sides. I use this paste that is for Cowboy boots. When I was little, my dad used it on his boots and gave the rest to me. I%26#039;ve bee using it ever since. It blends in with the color or the shoe. You can go to a western store and ask them for a %26quot;white color paste for the boots.%26quot;

Will shoe polish turn pink ballet shoes white?

I just switched my daughter%26#039;s ballet school. She had just gotten new pink ballet shoes, but this school requires white. Do you think I can just put white shoe polish on the pink ones?

Will shoe polish turn pink ballet shoes white?
NO!!! NEVER PUT SHOE POLISH ON BALLET SLIPPERS! NEVER EVER!

The only thing you can do is buy new ones.

I am assuming she does not need pointe shoes...LOL.

Here are some places to get ballet slippers.

http://www.justforkix.com/ballet_slipper...
Reply:If her pointes are the silky ones the shoe polish will make them look hard and ugly, almost leathery.

I%26#039;d recommend putting a cap full of bleach in a bucket of hot water.

Let them soak for 10 minutes, and then take a lot of care to rinse them out properly using first hot and them cold water.

Let them air dry and maybe apply some polish to the soles to keep them soft if they are leather..

Hope this helps.
Reply:Shoe polish is made for hard surfaces. Ballet shoes are made of fabric, so you would have to dye them. Unfortunately, if she has already worn them, the dirt from the soles will get all over the shoes when you try to get them wet during the color-stripping process.
Reply:You could do but it would make them very stiff and very uncomfortable. Get new ones.
Reply:Just buy a new pair. The polish will continually rub off, plus it will look bad. Spring for the new shoes so your daughter won%26#039;t feel self-conscious.
Reply:Yes but it will eventually crack and you will need to reapply.
Reply:Polish won%26#039;t work.... you can only dye them....Better yet, search on E bay, a lot of good deals there and you could probably pick up another pair relatively cheap...Good luck!
Reply:Ummm... I really dont think thats going to do much. Even the Cremes wont stain it enough.

You might want to just try bleaching them or something. I was a shoe shiner in Vegas so I know that polish definatly wont work.

Shoe polish on carpet.....?

How do you remove shoe polish from a cream carpet? I think the polish is wax based. Somebody help!!!!!!

Shoe polish on carpet.....?
Oh dear!
Reply:DON%26#039;T MESS WITH IT CALL AN EXPERT!!!! THE WRONG PRODUCT CAN MELT THE CARPET.
Reply:I%26#039;d go to a carpet store and ask them. They might know what would take shoe polish out of a carpet.
Reply:Thin it out first with white spirit dry cloth to mop up, get fairy liquid and gently scrub , mop dry keep doing this mopping dry it will gradually fade but will take time to hurry the process you can dry with a hair dryer
Reply:i use 1001, spruce and clean its a miracle. cleaner, cost from £1.00/£1.35.use it neat or diluted i have done both.
Reply:Don%26#039;t Rub it in by trying to rub it off!!!

Take too layers of paper towel and on top of that one layer of brown paper from a paper bag. Take a Hot Iron and iron over the bag to soak up the polish then place another clean layer or paper towel on bag over it and repeat process. Remove as much of the color as you can by repeating the process. After that take some Goo Gone and wipe off excess each time using a clean part of the cloth then %26quot;Thoroughly Shampoo the Entire Carpet.%26quot; There is no guarantee that it will be 100% gone but surely it will be less noticeable in the end.
Reply:I got shoe polish on my carpet and tried everything. I ended up making it worse. I had to pay a professional carpet cleaner $100 to remove the stain. But I guess the good thing was that they had to clean the whole room.

White shoe polish???
Check shoe stores, or at Wal-Mart or Target. Typically they have white shoe polish for work shoes---nurses, doctors, even for Navy officers.

Try stores that sell medical uniforms, or if you%26#039;re a military dependant, your NEX, PX, BX or MCX.

Good luck.
Reply:yea defenetly it will make them look brand new.

Try like walmart or Target

also try internet
Reply:There is such thing as white shoe polish but i find on my trainers that washing powder (The %26#039;whiter than white%26#039; stuff that contains uv reactive material) works very well if you soak the shoes in it and then give them a gentle scrub.
Reply:Yes there is such thing as white shoe polish. You can buy it at ppayless. Its about 10.00 i think.

Does shoe polish help increase a shoe's life?

Except for the fact that the shoes look shiny with shoe polish does it increse the shoe%26#039;s life.

Does shoe polish help increase a shoe%26#039;s life?
Yes, it conditions the leather
Reply:Shoe polish will make the top part of the shoe last longer. If it good polish it should protect the leather and make it last longer.
Reply:Yes, it slows down the leather drying out by putting some oil back into it and by protecting it from water and dryness. You should also use shoe trees, to keep the shoe flat. Think of it as serving the same function as wax on your car.
Reply:Yes I agree it does condition the leather but it also helps if you %26quot;feed%26quot; the leather occasionally i.e. a spray saddle soap obtained from a good saddler keeps leather amazingly supple.

Shoe cream vs. shoe polish?

I am (very) new to the professional world. after years of hoodies and sneakers, i now have to suit up every day and I don%26#039;t know the first thing about it (lots of time practicing with neckties).

I bought a %26quot;shoe kit%26quot; at Men%26#039;s Warehouse that came with black shoe cream. It makes my shoes very black where they were scuffed, but it%26#039;s very dull -- there%26#039;s no shine. Am I doing something wrong or is there a difference between shoe cream and shoe polish.

Shoe cream vs. shoe polish?
Your %26quot;shoe kit%26quot; should have included a soft cloth and/or a soft brush. The paste/cream shoe polish requires buffing after it dries. You should end up with a very nice shine on your shoes.

Good luck with your new world.....if you get a tie tied just the way you want it.....you can just loosen it and take it off over your head....so you can just put it back on and tighten it the next time.

Is shoe polish for brown shoes supposed to be black?

I just opened my can of shoe polish for my brown shoes. I don%26#039;t see any difference between it and the polish for my black shoes in terms of color. Is this to be expected?

Is shoe polish for brown shoes supposed to be black?
yeah i thought the same thing as you when i first saw it..its just really dark
Reply:yup its fine its always a bit darker.
Reply:Hmm... shoe polish for brown shoes is always dark brown in colour. But i think that it is better that you apply some of it onto any surface first before you use it on your shoes. Just in case...
